Leadership Long Beach (LLB) and the Long Beach Nonprofit Partnership (LBNP) are happy to announce the official debut of the BoardMatch Program linking LBNP Member Organizations to Leadership Long Beach alumni who are interested in serving on nonprofit boards. This is a pilot program.
What is involved:
Participating LBNP Member Organizations and interested LLB alumni will need to take separate three-hour workshops covering Board roles and responsibilities. The workshop for organizations is scheduled for December 11 from 3 to 6 pm and is called: The ABC's of High Functioning Boards The workshop for LLB alumni will be scheduled for January 2013.
LBNP Member Organizations are encouraged to bring a team of board members along with the Executive Director and/or Board President to this training. The flat fee of $100 covers training for up to four people and each organization is required to bring a minimum of two.
Once training is finished LBNP Member Organizations will complete a BoardMatch Interest Form to be included in the pool of organizations to be matched with interested LLB alumni. As this is a pilot program we cannot guarantee that all nonprofits will secure a match. The only cost to organizations and individuals will be the cost of the workshop.
Criteria for Nonprofits to Participate:
