LBNP will be offering an expanded Volunteer Management Certificate Program this summer with LBNP Affiliate Consultant Gayle Clock. This four-part series of half day classes is spaced over three months.
Fees include cost of materials, email and phone coaching through the end of 2010 plus one onsite coaching session between the participant and the instructor.

Internships--Avoiding the Legal Pitfalls

With summer in full swing many nonprofits and agencies have the good fortune of utilizing the services of college and high school students in internship programs. This can be a win-win for all concerned but can be a potential loss-loss if your agency is not complying with federal and state laws regarding employment laws. Convinced that many unpaid interships violate minimum wage laws, officials in many states including California have begun investigations and fined employers. Come learn about what you need to have in place to make your internship program legal and above board.

Cancellation Policy
Once registered, you must notify LBNP at least two (2) full working days prior to the workshop or breakfast to effectively cancel your registration. We ask your cooperation with this policy due to the need to strictly monitor the number of participants planning to attend each of our programs. If you effectively cancel (at least two (2) full working days prior to the program), you will receive a voucher, which may be applied to future workshops. Vouchers are valid for six (6) months from the date they are issued. Late-cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full amount of the program and no voucher will be issued. LBNP reserves the right to cancel any program. Should LBNP cancel a program, registered participants will receive a full refund. We reserve the right to substitute program presenters as necessary.
